Windows 11 installation tutorial for AMD Ryzen 3 laptop

Ryzen 3 – Windows 11 USB Setup

Hi,

I recently joined windows insider program to test the new Windows 11 OS in my HP G7- AMD Ryzen 3 -3300 laptop. Here’s the procedures(easy) I followed to upgrade from windows 10 pro to windows 11 21H2

Prerequisites

A working desktop or laptop preloaded with Windows 10 (I tried a fresh boot from UEFI-BIOS and it didn’t work!! )

Join (register) the windows insider program with your Microsoft email id and download the image file(.iso)- nearly 5GB – (I’m not sure about the pirated copies available in google!)

Minimum 8GB USB Storage device- Pen drive

Download rufus 3.15

Procedure

Open your rufus in Windows pc, connect the USB, using the select button, give path to the Windows 11 iso file.

And there’s a tricky part- usually new desktops and laptops comes with UEFI these days and old desktops/laptops are with the BIOS. So, I suggest you to take the MBR partition scheme and BIOS or UEFI as target system for the easier setup. (My laptop is a DDR4 purchased in 2021, so UEFI for sure!)

Now click the READY button and it’ll take nearly 20 minutes for the USB setup to complete.

After that , remove and reconnect the USB device, and in the file explorer , USB drive will change like this

Open the USB drive by clicking and double click the setup file.

After few minutes of loading Windows will ask for agreement to accept, then

after that there’s a chance for 2 errors

In order to bypass that, download the below DLL file from google drive and copy and replaced the existing file in the sources folder of the USB Drive.

DLL File

Now remove and re plug the USB drive and continue with your installation with few clicks and without errors.

Windows will reboot several times and your Windows 11 PC is ready. Please do comment for your queries. The best part is that , Windows 11 OS resolved few driver based issues in my AMD laptop(like touchpad and Wi-Fi).
